Pregnancy Week 31

At 31 weeks pregnant, the development of your baby’s major organs and body parts is largely complete, and he/she will gain weight rapidly during the final leg of your pregnancy.

Nutrition Top Tip – Week 31

As your baby will be putting on an additional 1 to 1½ kilos between now and his birth, an average of 200g per week, be sure to include foods in your diet from each of the food groups that can provide the extra calories and nutrients you and your baby need now. Make sure your diet includes enough red meat, eggs, beans, lentils, broccoli, and spinach to meet your body’s increased iron needs.
