A healthy maternal nutrition before and during pregnancy – what does it mean? To meet the nutrient requirements in the last trimester of pregnancy, you need to eat a variety from each of the five food groups daily.
- Fruits and vegetables: minimum 5 per day
- Grain foods: at each meal
- Protein foods: 1-2 per day
- Dairy foods: 3 per day
